Skipton Castle

Skipton Castle is located in Skipton, North Yorkshire, and is one of the best preserved medieval castles in England. We paid it a visit on a rainy day in January, and were amazed at just how well preserved it was, considering it's age (at least 900 years old!)

After stomping through the rain for a bit, we ended up at Hettie's Cafe Bistro which, I have to say, was an absolute highlight of York. The man who served us was lovely, and although it was incredibly busy, the food and drinks arrived fast enough. The portions were massive (a huge tick in my book!) and it was just such a lovely meal. If I was ever in the area again (or within a 2 hour radius), I'd pop in for a hot chocolate...
 ...because just look at it!
